First and foremost - to have our own little hometown here in America. Though there is no place like home, we will try to get close to it as possible.
Offer help in whatever form to our members who are in need in the most discreet manner. This could be:
a loan guarantee (organization must be financially sound to do this)
a temporary place to stay in cases of emergency
an advise or counsel
network for jobs, business
help in resume writing, job hunting, etc.
Keep members appraised of the news from Calamba, Laguna.
Establish, set and strengthen Filipino values and to set an example to our children here in America
Any worthwhile projects or charity
For the advancement of Filipinos in America as a whole
We are a town of heroes (Rizal and , General Lim to name 2 of the most famous ones), but we would like to recognize those who have devoted their lives to service in our hometown that made it what it is and gave it, its personality. We have plenty of them. An example would be like Miss Paraon, an all-volunteer, non-paid catechism teacher during our elementary grades. There are more like her. We plan to have a yearly celebration/ceremony for presentation of at least a plaque and maybe some award for the selected ones or their surviving family members.
